This website has been set up to provide those interested in Thomas Hardy with an insight into some of the miscellanea of Thomas Hardy and the world built around him and his characters. It is not intended to discuss any analysis of his works as there are there are many books and resources far more suited to that activity. It is a dedication to his life as a person whether through a photographic album of his own life or of locations from his novels and poems. A further second aim is to provide high quality and informative photographs of his Wessex world as it now in the 21st Century compared to its 19th Century novelistic and poetic character. This site is is an admiration of one of England's finest novelists and poets.

This site will detail his family history and properties, the Hardy Cottage at Higher Bockhampton, Stinsford Church where Hardy went and where is heart was burried, Max Gate his final home on the outskirts of Dorchester and some of the properties he stayed at during his early life as an architect. Details of some of his very close friends and influences T E Lawrence, Horace Moule, Sir Arthur Blomfield, Florence Henniker and Martha Brown.
